Dear Diary,
I love any DIY that saves me money, & this one definitely did!
Wreaths can be SO EXPENSIVE! I knew I could save some bucks making them myself.
Enjoy these three DIY Christmas wreaths on a budget!
1. Gingerbread Wreath
Supplies:
- 20-inch wreath-Walmart $2.78 (SUCH A GOOD PRICE!!)
- Gingerbread ribbon-Joann Fabrics $2
- Gingerbread ornaments-Walmart $1.49 a piece
- Hot glue
How To:
This wreath was so easy! I made the bow & hot glued that, as well as the ornaments, onto the wreath.
[If you’d like to see a blog post tutorial on bow making, give this a like!]
SO cute & SO simple!
2. Snowman Wreath (ALL DOLLAR TREE!)
Supplies:
- Three wreaths (one 18-inch & two 15-inch)
- Paint sponge
- White paint (ok, I got this one at Walmart for $1.50)
- Green pipe cleaners
- Bell (or hat) ornament
- Fleece scarf
- Hot glue
How To:
Take one of the 15-inch wreaths & wrap it around itself to make it smaller.
Stack the three wreaths on top of each other–the 18-inch on the bottom, 15-inch in the middle & your folded 15-inch on the top, creating a snowman figure.
Secure each wreath together with the pipe cleaners (you can also make more secure with some hot glue).
Lightly paint a bit of white paint onto the snowman to give it a snowy appearance.
Let completely dry.
This step is kind of off because I really wanted to find a snowman hat ornament (which I know the Dollar Tree has but I couldn’t find it!!) so, I got creative. I bought this red bell ornament instead & broke it in half to make a little Santa hat!
Hot glue the hat to the top wreath & tie the scarf around the snowman’s neck!
I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!!!
3. Berry & Burlap Wreath (ALL WALMART)
Supplies:
- 20-inch wreath-$2.78
- Merry Christmas sign-$3
- Berry picks-$1
How To:
This one was extremely easy too! All I did was hot glue the sign to the wreath & place the picks around the wreath evenly.
Seriously, this wreath would go for at least $20 in another store!
Which wreath is your favorite?
Thanks so much for stopping by to read my Not-So-Secret Diary!
