10 Favorite Newborn Products

Dear Diary,

Our baby boy is here!

Now that we are about 2 weeks into parenthood, I thought I’d share my favorite newborn products we use every day!

1. Owlet Smart Sock 3

I really didn’t know if this would be worth it or not, but I’m SO happy received the Owlet Smart Sock as a gift. If you aren’t familiar, the Owlet Smart Sock tracks baby’s oxygen level, heart rate, and sleep. The base, as well as your phone, alarm if baby’s oxygen or heart rate drops to a dangerous level. It connects to your phone and you can check it any time the baby is wearing the sock. This gives me such peace of mind especially as a first time mom. I can sleep better at night knowing my son is wearing his Smart Sock!

2. 4moms Breeze Plus Playard

We have this pack n play in our living room and it’s amazing! It’s the perfect spot for daytime naps and has a diaper changing station attached that can flip over the side. There is a newborn bassinet insert as well as the bottom play area. It’s so easy to set up and take down with one hand and comes with a carrying case. We can’t wait to travel with ease with this!

3. Halo Sleepsack Swaddles

The Halo Sleepsack Swaddles are our favorite swaddles! They stay on all night long even with with our little Houdini that loves to find his little hands! They zip up and Velcro and are so cozy for little man!

4. Bobby Newborn Lounger

We love the Bobby Newborn Lounger so much! It’s a great spot for the baby to lounge and play or even nap (only if I’m right next to him, this is not a safe sleep space!). It’s also a great spot to take pictures of the baby. It’s easy to cary to any room and I like that it’s not completely flat so I can put the baby down after feedings and not worry about spit up.

5. VAVA Night Light

The VAVA Night Light is perfect for night feedings and diaper changes! It turns on and off with a touch and can be dimmed or brightened. We brought this to the hospital and all the nurses thought it was the smartest thing! It was so nice to not have to put the awful hospital lights on in the middle of the night.

6. Bumco Baby Diaper Cream Brush

This is definitely not a necessity, but we love the Bumco Diaper Cream Brush! It’s so much easier to use this to get diaper cream in the right places while baby squirms around. Then you can just wipe it off with a wipe or washcloth to use for the next time! It has a suction on the bottom so it stands up straight and can’t be knocked over.

7. Hushh Travel Noise Machine

We love the Hushh Travel Noise Machine so much! We also have a Hatch (another favorite of ours!) in our bedroom but this one is amazing on the go. It has several different noise settings and volumes and can clip onto anything. We clip this on the car seat and even the pack n play during nap time. It instantly soothes our baby every time! This is another item we brought with us to the hospital and were so glad we did!

8. Cactus Bottle Cleaning Brush Set

This Cactus bottle brush set is amazing and super cute by our sink! It comes with 4 different brushes (bottle brush, nipple brush, straw brush, and detail brush). The bristles are soft enough not to damage the bottle parts but durable enough to get the job done. The base keeps the brushes contained and has holes to drain the water for easy cleaning. This has made cleaning bottle and pump parts so much easier!

9. Ubbi Diaper Pail

I didn’t think a diaper pail was totally necessary at first but I was SO wrong. We love the Ubbi! You can’t smell a single dirty diaper with this. We ended up buying another one to keep downstairs! I really like the Ubbi too because you can use any kitchen bags, not just the Ubbi brand. Makes life so much easier!

10. Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper Premiere

I am so obsessed with the Halo Swivel Bassinet! The swivel is amazing to help me pull the baby nice and close to my bed or push it away when I need to get up. You can also adjust the height to be level with your bed. The side lowers so you can easily reach in to get the baby in the middle of the night. There is even two pockets for storage and a soothing center with a sound machine, night light, lullabies and vibrations. I mostly only use the vibrations but it’s nice to have options!
